Gîte Fulcrand

In the centre of the village, next to the town hall, there is a red-brick house with a little enclosed yard before it. Behind it, there is another pleasant enclosed yard and garden. This 88-square-metre accommodation can greet up to four people. The fitted out kitchen will offer you everything you need to prepare your meals. There is a fridge – with a small built-in freezer -, an oven, a microwave, a washing-machine and a dishwasher. At the corner, there is a small space to fully enjoy your meals. There are two bedrooms. In every of them, there is a double bed. The pillows and the blankets are provided. There is an extra for the sheets if you want, otherwise you will have to bring yours. There is a bathroom with toilets. Finally there is a living room with a sofa, a television – with the possibility to have English channels – and a DVD-player. Behind the house, there is a nice, quiet and pleasant yard with garden furniture and a barbecue. The gite is located within the WW1 Circuit of Remembrance. You will be able to visit many commemorative sites such as the Franco-British memorial of Thiepval, the Newfoundland Park and its memorial in Beaumont-Hamel, the memorial park and the museum dedicated to the South African soldiers in Delville Wood (Longueval). The town of Amiens is a 30-minute drive. You can spend some time in this beautiful town, which is considered to be the capital city of the Somme. You will also be able to do some trekking or cycling – it is possible to rent bicycles at the Albert tourist office. Another possible beautiful location to visit is the Bay of the Somme. It is located at 103 km – about 1h20 if you take the highway. Prices: During the off-season periods = 220€/week. During May, June, September and the school holidays = 270€/week.
