Le Manoir des Granges comprises a large house with 6 bedrooms, one gite with three bedrooms and three gites with one bedroom. It is situated just outside the village of Le Moustier, 10 minutes drive from Montignac and just 30 minutes from Sarlat. The setting for Le Manoir des Granges is enchanting with quality accommodation. The cottages offered were arranged for the sake of comfort and authenticity. Each has a heating system and a wood stove. Le Manoir des Granges opens onto a nicely tended garden, suitable for outdoor activities.  The Main House has its own private pool and gardens. The four separate gites share a second swimming pool. Hiking and cycling, canoe rides, horse riding, climbing, yoga and tennis are among the activities that offers the region. For a holiday rich in discovery, visit one of the 1001 castles, the ornated caves of Lascaux and Font de Gaume, the medieval villages, the local markets and restaurants, and the Buddhist center Dhagpo Kagyu Ling

The Main House has 6 en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people. It has a large kitchen/diner, living room with French and English Satellite tv, a well stocked library and a large open fire. The house has a 12x5m swimming pool set in its own private garden. To the front of the house is a large stone built patio. BBQ's are provided. Prices: Starting from 1795 € per week or 275 € per night. Different prices for groups up to 7 and groups up to 12 persons (off peak-season).

Tobacco Barn - 1 single bed - 3 double bed

This 3 bedroom gite can sleep up to 5 people. Each bedroom has its own en-suite shower room. The kitchen has all the facilities that are required for cooking - an electric fan oven, 4 ring gas hob, fridge, microwave, coffee machine. The living/dining room is beautifully decorated and the french doors lead straight out onto the patio area surrounding the swimming pool, which is shared with the other 3 gites. For outside dining there is a wooden gazebo, table and chairs and BBQ to provide you with the perfect space to enjoy the wonderful views across the Vezere Valley to Roque Saint Christophe. Prices: Starting from 550 € per week or 70 € per night. Different prices for 2 people or 3-5 people (off peak-season).

Haybarn - 1 double bed

The Haybarn is the largest of our three gites designed for 2 people. It has an open plan kitchen/living/dining room where you will find a comfy sofa, French and English satellite TV, DVD player, table and chairs for 4 people. The well equipped kitchen has an electric fan oven, fridge, microwave and 4 ring gas hob. The bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Outside the Haybarn benefits from its own private terrace with sunbeds, table, chairs and BBQ, with views across to Roque Saint Christophe and a small walkway down to the shared swimming pool. Prices: Starting from 370€ per week or 60€ per night.

Walnut Store - 2 single bed - 1 double bed

The Walnut Store is a wonderful gite for 2 people and benefits from being wheelchair friendly. Mostly on one level, there is one small step between the living room and the bedroom. This gite is perfect for a couple, two friends, or two family members, because the bed can be either two separate single beds or one large King sized bed. Just off the bedroom is the en-suite wet-room style shower room. The living room has a comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs, French and English satellite TV. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed with all the amenities needed to cook a delicious meal. Outside, there is a patio area to the front of the property with table, chairs and BBQ. To the rear, there are more table and chairs situated at the side of the shared swimming pool to catch the morning sun. Prices: Starting from 340 € per week or 55 € per night.

Roque Terrace - 2 single bed - 1 double bed

The Roque Terrace is situated at the front of the property and has wonderful views across the Vezere Valley and on La Roque St. Christophe (UNESCO site). A light, bright, open plan, living/dining/kitchen provides the perfect space for a relaxing countryside holiday for two people. All the amenities you need for relaxation, cooking and eating. French doors open onto the wooden terraced area with table, chairs and BBQ for outside dining. Follow the wooden terrace around to find access to the shared swimming pool. This gite is perfect for a couple, two friends, or two family members, because the bed can be either two separate single beds or one large King sized bed. Just off the bedroom is the en-suite wet-room style shower room. As the gite is all on one level it is excellent accommodation for wheelchair users or those with impaired mobility. Prices: Starting from 340 € per week or 55 € per night.

The Haybarn is our suggestion for a Romantic getaway. A lovely, cosy, gite with its own private terrace. All the facilities you need in one space to spend time together, away from the crowds.

Peinture / Dessin

The Dordogne area has beautiful scenery around very corner and villages built out of our local, golden, sandstone with pretty pots of colourful geraniums providing all budding, or experienced, artists with exceptional scenes for painting and drawing.

Un peu d'Histoire

There is wonderful historical venues to visit in the Vezere Valley and in the Dordogne area. Fabulous chateaux and medieval castles sitting on the side of the Dordogne River. Cave dwellings where the cavemen used to live and caves with wall art/paintings to make you wonder how and why! Right opposite our property is La Roque Saint Christophe, a World Heritage site. You can sit and enjoy the view of La Roque whilst you are enjoying your BBQ or cup of tea!

Sports et loisirs

If you want to take part in sporting activities whilst you stay at Le Manoir des Granges we can propose walking, cycling (both on and off road), canoeing, horse riding, fishing and golf. All of these activities are available either from the property or a maximum of 30 minutes drive.

Pêche / chasse

Fishing permits are available for the Vezere River which is a 5 minute walk from our house or you can go fishing on the Dordogne river.
