Château de Chargé - Loire Valley Retreat

Looking for a holiday with baby? This is the place for you! Designed precisely for a couple travelling with baby, La Tour is a fully equipped self catering cottage occupying the left section of the Chateau's original 16th Century stable block. This beautiful renovation features a large bedroom with king size double bed, luxurious tiled bathroom including free standing bath, separate shower, double vanity unit and wc. One of the original fortified towers of the chateau has been cleverly incorporated into this cottage, and a doorway from the double bedroom reveals a perfect cot room for an accompanying infant. Downstairs, guests will find a fully fitted kitchen (including dishwasher and washing machine), eating area, living and TV space. The tower features again downstairs, with a cosy ‘snug’ containing toys and beanbags for your little one to play safely. The pool, garden, indoor and outdoor play areas are shared with other guests, and are accessible through the front courtyard.

Guests are clamouring to come back to our beautiful 2-bedroom 2-bathroom self-catering gite, 'Les Ecuries'. Created in the central section of a 16th century stable block, Les Ecuries offers spacious accommodation for four people (with space for an extra bed or baby cot). Upstairs, you will find two beautifullly furnished bedrooms (1 double, 1 available as a double or twin) each with their own ensuite bath and shower rooms. Downstairs, is a large open plan sitting/dining room complete with fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and laundry facilities. The picture is completed by a pretty, private courtyard and barbecue, just perfect for alfresco dining. The gardens of the chateau, including the 10x5m heated outdoor swimming pool, paddock and play area, are available to all our guests. As our clients at Chargé have come to expect, Les Ecuries has those 'added touches' which make your stay so special - Nespresso machine, Ipod dock, UK TV channels, hairdryers. Towels, bathrobes and all bedlinen are provided, as is delicious continental breakfast every day of your stay.

Vigneron cottage is now the only guest accommodation in the chateau building. This cottage exclusively uses the chateau's main entrance door. It has a ground floor living room and fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a downstairs WC. Upstairs, the cottage has a small hexagonal bedroom with 2 90 cm single beds, and a spacious king size double bedroom with windows to front and rear. The bathroom, with separate bath and shower, double vanity unit and wc, is accessed through the parental suite.

La Boulangerie (Cottage, sleeps 1 couple plus up to 3 children) The Boulangerie, or Bakery, is a beautiful cosy cottage facing the chateau’s courtyard. It takes its name from the original bread oven which is still visible behind the fireplace. Downstairs, the sitting room offers the perfect place to relax beside the fire, while your 21st century needs are also met with TV (UK and French channels), DVD, iPod dock, tea and coffee making facilities... The new extension added in 2014 adds a fully fitted eat-in kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and glass doors to the courtyard, a second bathroom and bedroom with three single (80cm) beds. Upstairs, the small but cosy parental suite is a haven of peace and tranquility beneath the roof beams, with its separate bathroom featuring WC, vanity unit, bath and rain shower.
