Gîte Les Fougères

In the calm and peaceful hamlet of Fougères, we welcome you in our country cottage, situated in the village of Saint Babel, 8 km Issoire and the A75, near Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park and Volcan d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park. Designed to accomodate 8 people, you'll enjoy both the comfort and the independence it offers to everyone. Indeed, the house has four rooms on two floors: - the first-floor, two bedrooms, well separated from each other, each with a bed of 140 cm. Next to the room 1 (see photo), you have a bathroom and separate WC. The chamber 2 (see photo), spacious and antique furniture, is equipped with a bathroom with WC. - the second-floor, two attic rooms (see photos), each with two beds of 90 cm. Again, a bathroom with WC provides some comfort. With family or friends around the fire in winter (fireplace insert), the living room is a warm and cosy place to meet for a drink, or for a film (TV), well aligned in the sofa or chairs with footrests ... Electric heating allows for a gentle temperature when the fire is extinguished (dry towel radiators in bathrooms and bath). The kitchen, light wood, is equipped with all necessary appliances (quality brands) you may need: fridge (245 liters), freezer (60 liters), microwave oven, conventional oven, mixed plate (3 gas and 1 plate), dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, but, toaster, electric kettle, blender ... In addition, the crockery is provided in sufficient quantity to make it practical. The lodge has a "téléséjour" which can receive calls and call for a "phone ticket" of 5 euros, made available. In addition, you can enjoy Internet access via wireless (Wi-fi). In summer, enjoy the garden with its fruit trees, you can taste the fruit, and garden furniture to help you find with your friends or your family for a drink or lunch and dinner out. A gas barbecue (lava rock and gases are included) is available. On the ground floor, a large arch will allow you to store any equipment in security (can be locked). This room can also serve as a playroom for children (especially chambouler, table, tables school ...). Furthermore, we can play balls (made available) on the path to the cottage. Although our house is terraced, the entrance of the house is completely independent: they are accessed by a private road (see photo), own the cottage, which leads into the courtyard, passing under a porch (see photo) under where you can leave a car if you wish. As shown in the photos, the apartment has two entries, one at each balcony ... which is very appreciated by those who do not live at the same pace! When you reach the cottage Fougères, you'll be near a high-rise of Romanesque art, with the famous Abbey Issoire (XII century), not far from other major Romanesque churches (in Clermont Ferrand (Notre-Dame du Port), Saint Saturnin, Saint Nectaire and Orcival). Less than an hour, you can within a radius of 40 km, depending on the season, skiing on the slopes of the mountains of Auvergne, in your mind from volcanoes and craters, to discover the heart of the earth and its mysteries with Vulcania, swim in the many lakes in Auvergne, you carry to the canoe-kayak, make large or small hiking, visiting castles, or simply walking in one of the most beautiful villages in France, or discover nearby , the forest of the County with its sensitive natural areas and unique in Auvergne ...
