We are delighted to welcome you in the Ouche area, Haute-Normandie, in Rugles, in a house of character and charm, decorated by ourselves to bring it the nowadays comfort while respecting its authenticity.
We named our house "Le Clos Saint-Germain" because the property is enclosed by walls, out of sight: which forms an enclosure named Clos into French. Saint-Germain because that is the name of the church of Rugles ; by the way, in some places of the house, we can seel the bell. In addition of this, Saint-Germain was a burgundian sishop (of Auxerre from 418 to 448). Myself from Burgundy, it is also a nod to my origins.
Bed and breakfast in a bourgeoise town house from 1860 with 5 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, 1 dining room, a billiard room, a terrace facing south with a canopy and a garden without vis à vis.
The house was ordered by Calixte Marquis, industrialist in the steel industry at that time.
Guest house labeled "Gîtes de France" 4 ears.
After travelling oversees, it is now time from me to settled down.
I easily share experiences and expertise to offer my guests the most pleasant stay, welcoming them in a chic and relaxe armosphere. Chic by the services, relaxe by my manners and know-how to live.
House in the center of the village. We walk easily to the local shops. The excursions in the surroundings require to be motorized. Possibily of cycling (2 bicycles can be lent).
A guidebook mentions most of the activities available in the neighborhood.
Closest railway station is L'Aigle. Transfer accommodation available.
All our rooms have been given the name of a local person either lived in the neighborhood or made something special for inhabitants.
Also available guest meals on request with two menu suggestions.

Poultry in cider, casserole, now potatoes,
French toast with vanilla and its ice cream.
Center parcs "Les Bois Francs" (Parc aquatique Aqua Mundo) - Les Barils 27130 Vreveuil-sur-Avres : 15km / 19 min by car.

The "Comtesse de Ségur" room at Le Clos Saint-Germain is a suite (room for 1 person or 2 people with a private lounge). The sofa in the living room can be changed into a bed tor two additional people.
The shower and bathroom + toilets are private, the access is private, inside the suite.
The whole suite represents approximately 65m². It is an attic bedroom with a cathedral ceiling form with the wooden trusses visible, well insulated.
Comfortable mattresses. 160cm for the bedroom and 140cm for the extra bed.
To the base room rate, 35€ / extra person is to be added in the limit of 2 additionnal people.
Sheets + duvets + pillows + bolsters adn towels are provided.
Wifi is available in the bdroom and lounge, also in the common areas.
