This square was named after the meeting of the three leaders of the revolution for independence, held there on the 21st of March 1821. This meeting was the outbreak of the liberation war and the beginning of Modern Greece. The hotel’s history is highly associated with that of the town of Kalavrita in the 20th century. It is a scheduled building of 1922 that was expanded in the 1930s, burnt down by the Germans on December 13th 1943, thereinafter repaired and operated as a hotel until the last decade. Its age-old history, associated with the region’s history, has left its indelible signs on the building, which was renovated with consistency and respect for its tradition in 2005 and reoperated, fully renewed, under new direction. HOTEL HELMOS KALAVRITA, after the intervention of the noted architect Pavlos Kalligas, has regained its old glamour and adorns today the beautiful town of Kalavrita as the only four star hotel. It offers the visitors a remarkable stay in an elegant environment. ROOMS HOTEL HELMOS KALAVRITA has 28 modern rooms in two levels. Many of them have views to the “Platia Eleftherias” (Liberty Square), while others overlook the village houses and mount Helmos. The rooms are decorated with earth tones and tasteful furnishing, creating a comfortable and loose atmosphere. Meetings & Events MEETINGS AND EVENTS Our hotel is located in a lovely place, only a two-hour drive from Athens and is an ideal destination for organizing your meetings, product launches, incentive trips and small scale congresses. Our halls “Daphne” and “Hesperides”, as well as the exterior of the hotel can have in social events, wedding receptions, cocktail parties or gala dinners. The two halls can accommodate from 10 to 120 guests, whereas the exterior of the hotel can accommodate up to 500 guests. As for business events and congresses, we offer the state of the art equipment, whereas our experience and the spotless personal service guarantee the success of these events. The multi-use hall “Daphne” takes up 80 m2and is equipped with projector, DVD player and video player, flipchart and whiteboard, Dolby Surround Sound System and microphonic installation, while it can be separated in two smaller congress rooms, according to the needs of the event.
