Welcome to MAMA NENA charming hotel in the Old Town of Chania! The MAMA NENA charming hotel is a small, family-run boutique hotel in the Old Town of Chania and is open all year round. It is located at the waterfront of the lovely horseshoe harbour and has both a front view and a back view: the lighthouse and the sea to the north and the picturesque narrow streets of the Old Town against the backdrop of the beautiful White Mountains (Lefka Ori) to the south. The 15th century 4-storey house used to be our mother's home (Nena is her name). The building has been fully restored with particular emphasis on quality and authenticity. The modern and minimalist surroundings recapture the atmosphere of the town house at the beginning of the 20th century. It offers one double room and two two-room suites. Accommodation Luxury in Chania T he MAMA NENA charming hotel comprises of one double room and two two-room suites, all furnished and fitted with distinctive furniture and furnishings. Each room and suite is located on separate floors of the building and has a sea view overlooking Chania's picture-perfect harbourfront. The suites offer additional view to the picturesque back streets of the Old Town against the backdrop of the White Mountain range. The double room and the suites are fitted with air conditioning/heating units and have double glazed windows. They are furnished with a double bed, refrigerator, LCD Television, DVD & CD player and a safe deposit box. Each accommodation has direct dial telephone and free internet access. In the en suite bathrooms, our guests will find bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer. All personal care products are natural. We have maintained a fine balance between the old and the new to provide maximum comfort and aesthetic appeal. Carefully restored furniture, fixtures and objects blend in harmony with the comforts of a modern room. Our breakfasts are full Cretan style breakfasts with home-made delicacies and preserves (some of them prepared by our mother Nena), fresh fruits and produce from our family farm, as well as other eclectic and traditional products. Cleaning Services The rooms are fully cleaned every morning. Dry-cleaning and clothes washing services are available upon request and at an additional charge. Telecommunications Services Free internet access and direct dial telephone in every room. Lap top and printer are available upon request. Concierge The guest service manager has information on sightseeing and excursions, activities, restaurant recommendations or reservations and car rental. Maps and tourist guidebooks can be made available to guests, in order to ensure that their stay and sightseeing in the Old Town of Chania and on Crete in general will be especially enjoyable. Furthermore, postal, courier, florist and hairdresser services are available upon request and at an additional charge. Parking Free municipal parking is available 300m (5min walk) from the hotel. The Old Town of Chania is full of monuments and places of historical interest. Museums, fortifications, Byzantine walls, ecclesiastical monuments, Moslem monuments, synagogue, narrow streets and interesting buildings offer exciting hours of sightseeing. A stroll around the town can be combined with shopping and entertainment in taverns, cafes and bars, all just next to or at a very short distance from the MAMA NENA hotel. Low season: 01/10 - 31/05 High season: 01/06 - 30/09 Prices for the Double room and Suites are for double occupancy. Price for the Entire residence is for 6 persons. Prices above include breakfast, services and all taxes. Single occupancy of the Standard double room has a 10% discount. Each additional adult for Suites will be charged at 35€ per night. Children from age 2 -16 in parent's room are charged 10€ each. Confirmation of reservation Reservation starts with the deposit of 30% of the total sum of the reservation in a bank account. Confirmation is made immediately after payment of the deposit. Bookings can also be made using credit card details. Credit cards accepted: VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Cancellation of reservation Cancellation of reservation must be notified by email or fax. Cancellation is free of charge up to 21 days prior to confirmed arrival date. Cancellation within 21 to 7 days before the confirmed arrival date has a charge of 30% of the total sum of the reservation. Cancellation less than 7 days before the confirmed arrival date has a charge of 50% of the total sum of the reservation. In case of no show or departure before the due departure date, the guest will be charged for 100% of the sum of reservation.
