10 DOUBLE ROOMS Just a few kilometers driving from Nafplion to the rocky eastern coast of Peloponnese you'll come across the picturesque village of Kiveri. Kiveri is a small seaside village of mild tourist development, that combines sea, hills and plain fields. Pension Zephyros is built right by the beach of the village with a spectacular view across the Argolis bay. It has inaugurated in 2008, and provides all the assets for your vacation to be pleasant and comfortable. Our pension is located in a preferential site. The attractive beach of the village lies right in your feet, a public parking lot is located beside the building as well as the coastal restaurants and cafeteries. Within our premises, each room reserves its own tables in the courtyard to enjoy your breakfast, your coffee or your meal at any time of the day. The village is also built in a preferential area. Having Kiveri as a starting point you can visit a large number of historical places. Sites known by mythology like Argos, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Tirintha and sites known by history (Nafplion). The village has its own history: According to legend it was founded in 1600 BC by some of the first Dorian invaders of the Peloponnese (Wikipedia). LOCATION Kiveri is a small seaside village of Peloponnese, located at an equal distance of 10km from Nafplion and Argos. The village counts some 2000 permanent habitants. Situated where the Argolic valley ends and the rocky coasts of Peoloponnese begin, it provides a exceptional combination of landscapes including sea, plain fields and rocky hills. It's lovely beach pieces together sand and pebbles. The village provides all kinds of shops for your daily needs and for your entertainment. There are super-markets, bakeries, pharmacy, kiosks, cafeterias, restaurants and playgrounds. The vast majority of the habitants are permanent as the village has mild tourist development. ANCIENT/HISTORICAL SITES: By choosing our pension and Kiveri for your holidays you offer yourselves a unique opportunity to combine summer activities with visits to historic and archaeologic sites: - Mycenae (20 minutes): The famous capital of Ancient Greeks with the shaft graves. - Nafplion (10 minutes): One of the most famous towns and the first capital of Greece. The exceptional old city with the Palamidi castle and the sea fortress of Bourtzi are always full of tourists. - Epidaurus (30 minutes): The most famous and most well preserved theater of the ancient world. The lucky ones will be able to attend to a spectacle and feel the excellent acoustics. - Argos (10 minutes): One of the oldest cities in the world with the ancient theater (still functioning) and the numerous ancient ruins. - Tirintha (10 minutes): Known from the Hercules exploits with the impressive cyclopian acropolis. COASTS/ENTERTAINMENT: If you like to explore the coasts of the Argolic bay you have a great variety of choices of all types. There are the crowded ones equiped with entertainment spots for seaside activide including horse-riding, wind-surfing and kite-surfing, and the solitary ones, mainly located under rocky slopes a few hundred meters away from Kiveri. For the night entertainment you can start with a drink in 'Summer Club' the picturesque beach-bar of the village. Alternatively you can visit the beach-bars of Nafplio or Tolo. If this is not sufficient you can step in the famous night-clubs of the Argolis bay for amusement until dawn. In any case and whatever you are interested in, we will gladly guide and consult you about the area and the places you'd like to visit. FACILITIES All the rooms are double-bedded (with two single or one double bed) and are divided in two categories: the rooms in the front side with view to the sea and the rooms in the back side with view to the garden. Each room reserves its own table and space in the courtyard where the breakfast is served, and the client may drink his/her coffe or meal at any time of the day. We also offer free internet through Wi-Fi access. In case you have one or more children we provide the option to add an extra bed for a third person or a baby-bed for smaller children without extra charges. BREAKFAST: The breakfast is rather diversified and contains among others homemade confitures and cakes.
