Built with taste and craftsmanship, faithful to the traditional island architecture of Spetses, Thimaras’ Traditional Residences are a truly special place. We have preserved some unique hand made artefacts from that era, harmonizing the traditional with the modern. All this, together with the recent renovation, the professional service and its small size, contribute to creating a dream holiday retreat, as it combines memories from the past together with the present. It is located at the east side of the island, close to the fantastic beach of Agia Marina and the historical monastery of Agioi Pantes. Accommodation Apartments The apartments are situated on the ground floor, next to the pool area. They comprise of a separate bedroom, with a king-size double bed; a living room with two comfortable sofa beds, to accommodate two extra people; a fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom, with shower. All the apartments have a TV, air conditioning, hair dryer and wi-fi internet access. Outside there is a traditionally created area with marble tables and stone benches, which help you relax and feel like you are in a different time.See photo... Studios The studios are situated around the pool and garden, on the first and second floor, with a sea view. They comprise of one room with two single or one double bed, plus a comfortable sofa bed, to accommodate one extra person; a fully equipped kitchen; bathroom, and a private veranda or balcony. All the studios also have a TV, air conditioning, hair dryer and wi-fi internet access.See photo... Swimming Pool and Garden In keeping with the high quility of design, we have created a beautiful garden, characterized by tropical plants, stone, marble and wood. The carefully placed traditional items show the timelessness of the past and the present. Impressive stone arches and half-landings lead the visitor to the pool, which is at the center of a green oasis. Facilities Rooms are cleaned every day. Reception is at your service from 07:00 until 22:30. There is available personnel for emergencies during the night. Continental breakfast is served in the area around the pool as well as in the veranda of your apartment, at the time of your choice, between 08:00 and 11:00 We can arrange for your transportation to and from the hotel using a private car. There is a children playground in a separate area of the garden Spetses Spetses, a small, but very special island, impresses the visitor with its intense character which can be found in the houses and neighbourhoods, the pebbled courtyards, the churches and the white color dominating, in contrast with the blue of sea and the green of the mountain. The natural environment on one hand, and the free and generous character of the inhabitants on the other, determined the destiny of Spetses: It is located in the Myrtoon sea, close to the southern part of the Argolic Peninsula, it is 1,5 mile from the coast, on the right side of the entrance to the Argolic Gulf and has been always considered part of the Peloponnese. The distance from Piraeus is 52 nautical miles The area of island covers 22,5 square kilometres and the length of its coast is 28,7 kilometres It is surrounded by hills at the highest peak of which is Prophet Elias, at a height of 291 meters. The island, covering an area of about 20,000 acres, is covered with pine trees, one of the basic elements of its beauty. In spring and autumn, rare species of flowers and plants sprout up between the pines, true jewels of the Spetses land. Regarding the island's name, the most valid version comes from the sailors of the Middle Ages, Venetian, Catalan and Genovese pirates, who named the island “ISOLA DI SPEZZIE” or “SPEZIE” meaning, island of beautiful fragrances, because of its many fragranted plants. Access to the island is possible by sea or by land: By car, this distance from Athens to Porto Heli is 170 kilometres. The link takes place from the Costa beast in Porto Heli, by a ferry or by traditional small boats or water taxis. There are daily trips from Pireaus by flying dolphins or the ferries.
