Mamma Mia - The Film In August 2007, we had the honour of providing accommodation to the cast and production team of the film "Mamma Mia", whilst they filmed on Skiathos Island, Greece. Our guests were very delighted to return to quiet, elegant surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of the town, after long days of shooting to their choice of hotels in Skiathos. BARS & RESTAURANTS ELIA'S RESTAURANT A Mediterranean cuisine restaurant Our Mediterranean cuisine resident chefs Didis Dermisis and Thanasis Kontses oversee the beautiful restaurant Elia’s with its characteristic wooden bridge linking it to the hotel’s adjoining grounds. Mediterranean cuisine is impeccably presented. Dishes are designed to impress even the most discerning of palates. First class ingredients, some of which are grown in our gardens alongside the freshest catch of the day, are reasons why Elia’s restaurant is considered the finest on the island of Skiathos. Mediterranean cuisine flavours and colours divinely reflect the rich heritage of the regional cuisine, often intermingled with modern touches. Wine lists to accompany these feasts are extensive. Operating hours are 13.30 pm until late into the night. WHITE BAR Cocktails by the pool bar The hotel’s hot meeting point for cocktails. The central bar, made out of white marble, attracts both hotel and visiting guests every night when it is gloriously lit. It provides a cooling place for an evening drink against a backdrop of pure and natural beauty. Whilst looking out onto the pool bar area, hotel guests can enjoy their breakfast, in addition to aromatic flavoured coffees and craved snacks throughout the day, lunch (crisp salads, traditional Greek cuisine, a variety of desserts etc) and evening cocktails later on in the evening Breakfast is served by the pool bar between 8.00 and 11.00 am. On cooler nights in September and October, the bar opens out and extends into the lobby where a beautiful evening can be spent next to the fireplace. The White Bar menu is served also on a Room Service basis until midnight. WHITE BARBEQUE A Greek barbeque restaurant On various summer nights throughout the season, true feasts, Greek barbeque restaurant type affairs, are organized in a space alongside the pool. Celebratory occasions unto themselves, time and time again, our guests revel and recount as to how enjoyable these events are. Providing guests a chance to socialize, intermingle with the community of fellow guests at the hotel and have fun, our barbeque restaurant evenings are always a success! Greek music which always incites a dance or two, accompanies Greek barbeque restaurant style fish and meat in addition to traditional various dishes baked in our wood oven. These summer evening feasts are accompanied by our own naturally grown wine which is lovingly produced locally.
